Watch our Working from Home video series, part 2

Part two of our Working from Home video series sees messages from book-filled offices and interruptions from furry friends, as we continue to hear from architects, designers and creatives across Australia and the world.

In our first collection of videos, we heard from Alexander & CO. principal Jeremy Bull, The Stella Collective’s Hana Hakim, AB Concepts’ Ed Ng, Ink Interior Architects’ Dana Vuletic and Matthews+Scavalli’s Sally Matthews.

This week, we hear from Adam Kane Architects’ director Adam Kane, Carole Whiting of Carole Whiting Interiors, Futurespace managing director Angela Ferguson and Interstudio‘s Harriett Baffsky.

We also have two special guests from our sister publication Marketing Magazine – Mars Wrigley Australia marketing director Ben Hill and Red Havas Australia CEO Sarah Trombetta.

In Kane’s video, he shares tips on paring back to the essentials and gives us a look at what technology he’s using. Whiting speaks of following the light through her house during the workday, from bedroom to balcony, with her two furry friends and talks about the loneliness of an empty office.

Ferguson comes to us from her book-filled office in Sydney with some tips on creating a beautiful workspace and sharing it with her husband, something she says she’s definitely not used to.

And Baffsky reiterates the importance of not just sending emails, but picking up the phone to speak to suppliers and clients.

As for our special guests, both Hill and Trombetta have important advice that is useful for the A&D community. Both speak of leadership, grounding yourself and your business and the things to invest in and put to rest during the coronavirus outbreak.

Trombetta in particular reiterates the importance of not just using Zoom for conference calls, but also for wellness checks and end-of-week catch-ups with colleagues that aren’t about business, but about staying connected and sane.
