Signature Floors has teamed up with design studio Nettletontribe to provide a dynamic hospitality experience for Club Auburn’s new home.
Established in 1962 in Sydney’s western suburbs, Club Auburn’s recent relocation to a brand-new building called for a new look and feel.
The hospitality venue offers an exciting range of entertainment options and versatile private function rooms with lively flooring that encourages patrons to traverse and enjoy their surroundings.
The brief for Nettletontribe was to create a range of spaces – each with its own identity and each appealing to a variety of guests.
With flooring as an essential element in the overarching design plan, the Melbourne studio turned to Signature Studio’s talented textile designers to help it develop distinctive yet harmonised designs for the different areas that span across the venue’s two levels.
Signature Studio creative Jack Filmore says designers settled on modular flooring for its “versatility, visual appeal and functionality” within commercial interiors.
“Modular flooring is at the forefront of blending commercial functionality with unique visual excitement,” he tells ADR.
“The designs revealed themselves to be statement pieces within this contemporary hospitality interior.”
At Club Auburn, motifs feel like scattered abstract patterns and run multi-directional across the floors, lending interest and pizzazz to the venue.
Commercial quality nylon ensures the designs won’t fade under the high foot traffic, while still providing the vibrancy and dynamism that has allowed Nettletontribe to infuse each space with its own identity.
From the generous main bar detailed with copper and smoked mirror elements and luxurious Velvet Lounge to the welcoming coastal cabana and intimate fireplace banquette, Club Auburn comes alive with an overlay of forms, textures and patterns that complement each other creating an energetic and purposefully maximalist atmosphere.
