This year’s Victorian Architecture Awards showcases design as a catalyst for community and livability, with work that preferences ‘places for people’. Narrowing down a huge field of 223 entries across 14 categories, the judges have whittled down a mass of entries to a shortlist of 102 projects. Carrying out an intensive schedule of site visits, the shortlisted work gives a clear emphasis towards client and community-driven design, reiterating that good architecture is integral to the evolution and growth of Victoria.

Winners will be announced on Friday 30 June at 7pm at a presentation event held at the Melbourne Convention Centre. Winners in each category will progress to compete for 2017 National Architecture Awards announced in Canberra in November. Tickets for the Presentation Dinner are now on sale through the Chapter.
