Over the past three years Parlour has become an important ‘space to speak’, a respected platform providing research, resources and advocacy, as well as discussion about gender equity in architecture. Parlour has helped build demand for a more equitable profession and better work practices, and has provided resources to assist in facilitating the required changes.
Parlour is currently reaching out to the public to raise much-needed funds to keep this initiative going. All funds from the campaign will ensure that Parlour can continue to publish high-quality content for another year and will continue to assist with their development of fundamental resources and platforms for discussion.
The Parlour website enables a range of voices to contribute to the conversation about gender and architecture. The Parlour research program and website provide a solid means of support for other related initiatives, and any funds raised during this campaign will allow Parlour to keep producing and publishing its material.
Alison Cleary, Victorian Chapter Manager of the Australian Institute of Architects, is currently offering a free CPD voucher to anyone who donates $50 or more through the crowdfunding campaign – click here to show your support for equality in architecture.
