Rather than going down the traditional ‘clinical’ route for this small medical facility, Russell & George has created a space that is colourfully reviving while still being relaxed.

The Doctor’s Studio offers cosmetic surgery and aesthetic treatments, through the design resolution which includes bespoke finishes and curated art, the patients can feel at ease throughout their entire treatment process.

Being a medical facility, it was still necessary that the design adhered to hygiene and efficiency requirements. But while this is often the benchmark within this typology, the designer’s used it as simply a baseline to build upon.

While these minimum standards are important, they often don’t inspire relaxation or alleviate the stress associated when undergoing minor procedures. It was, therefore, important that the design for The Doctor’s Studio evoked a sense of calm while also appealing to the clientele.

The result is a space that confidently uses bold colours, carefully curated artwork, and finessed finishes and detailing.
