In a move that will reshape the iconic city’s skyline, Sydney City Council has just accepted a recommendation for approval of a 260 metre tall building at 505 George Street.
Representing both emerging and established practices with offices in seven countries, including Australia, the shortlisted entries show a variety of responses to the challenge of creating a world-class museum.
Despite the challenge, few doubts remain that the 15th anniversary will prove to be one of the most interesting exhibitions the gallery has hosted yet.
