With over 105 buildings available for self-guided tours and a variety of free talks tours and events, the Open House Melbourne weekend is a rare opportunity to hear about the creative process behind some of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings.
This year’s Open House Weekend includes a variety of buildings that are under construction, abandoned such as the Argus Building and Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Other highlights for this year’s event includes; Cairo Flats in Fitzroy, North Melbourne’s Heritage listed Meat Market, Melbourne School of Design, Library at the Dock, and RMIT Design Hub.
Buildings that are included for tours during the weekends include buildings throughout central Melbourne, Docklands, East Melbourne, North Melbourne, Port Phillip, South Melbourne, Stonnington, West Melbourne and Yarra.
Special events will run until 9 August, with a variety of speakers and workshops at different times and locations available to be booked for the public.
Some events may require pre-booking and tours usually book out.
Bookings for the event open on 8 July and will be available until sold out.
