The project will involve a reskinned façade, a new eastern annex, new food and beverage outlets, upgraded bathroom facilities, increased disability access, and back-of-house improvements which will allow bigger and better shows to come to the arena.
The aim of the redevelopment was to increase the appeal and feel-good factor of the baths and sports halls and to update the technical features of the building.
The iconic site's makeover also included a new services building to accommodate the Waverley Council maintenance, lifeguards and the operational and storage needs of the Tamarama Surf Club.
