The Naomi Milgrom Foundation has unveiled its 2017 design for the new MPavilion, which was designed by Netherlands-based architects Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of Office for Metropolitan Architectures (OMA).
The fund will encourage more greening in the city, including trees, parks, green walls, roofs and faƧades and stormwater projects ā€“ the most effective way to protect us against extreme heat.
"The building has such a fantastic patina of age. Dishevelled layers of paint peel back to expose layers of building and decoration that date back to 1878. It would be wrong to clean all that up." Technē director Justin Northrop speaks to ADR about the studio's reinvigoration of the historic Espy Hotel in Melbourne's St Kilda.
Perched is an extension at the rear of a semi-detached, Edwardian house, a project by Wesley Spencer and Mathilde Polmard. The home sticks to the essentials, embraces light and puts emphasis on a kitchen suitable for a chef.
