This week, the architectural community lost Italian academic and architect Romaldo Giurgola at 95 years of age. Internationally-renouned for his work on Parliament House in Canberra, Giurgola was also behind a number of other significant works across the country. ADR takes a look at the architect's built legacy on Australian shores.
Robson Rak Architects take us through their redesign of a tired Victorian residence, with new addition completing the vision.
The project involved cost-efficient renovation of an old residence into a modern house for a growing family, utilising maximum space and light and providing a better connection to the outdoor space.
The project comprised alterations and additions to an existing 1890's duplex that was disconnected from its garden due to a difference in platform and an oddly located bathroom.
