The recently launched Foundation for Australian Architecture seeks to promote innovation and technical excellence in the architecture industry. However, its success looks uncertain considering the Australian government has left the funding of this body to the generosity of patrons, trusts and grants.
Architects and designers of all shortlisted projects will be invited to attend the 2014 WAF and give a live presentation to a panel of judges, asserting their case for why their project should win.
