People can not only explore the historic apartment building, but also tour its extensive grounds and garden. Picnics are permitted on Open Day and refreshments can be purchased from the many community organisations present. Fresh scones are also available in the Old Kitchen.
This year there will be live music on the West Lawn and a range of activities for the kids. It is also a chance to see some of the retired champion racehorses in the 19th century stables. The Skin & Cancer Foundation will provide complimentary sunscreen to all the visitors.
The grounds are open from 9.30 am – 4.30 pm, while the house tours operate between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm.
