With the ever-increasing clutter of a newborn baby to consider, the owner of the Mills house in Melbourne approached Austin Maynard Architects seeking a considered and unique solution to storage in the home.
Strong concepts and influences drawn from Italian 1950s design, film and architecture were incorporated in the planning and fitout to create an Italian-themed restaurant and whiskey bar located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In collaboration with architect Allistar Cox and builder Ian Provan, Christian McCabe and David Verheul are the duo behind Melbourneā€™s newest restaurant and wine bar. This diverse team share their different perspectives on bringing Embla together for Mezzanine: Summer.
