A new cafe by Biasol, situated in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, uses an experimental approach to create a sleek space with bold colours.
This is the second issue in the new look AR and the mantra ‘don’t spend more than you earn’ is at the very heart of what we’re doing with this change in direction. We realised that it’s these basic business processes that can be the areas of greatest struggle for architectural practices, so this is where you come in. In making this project, we were as much thinking about its suburban landscape as the building itself. We aimed to create the early beginnings of a meadow and a field that stitch into the suburban terrain and to make a building that belongs.
Whether small or large, architecture firms need to take succession planning seriously, because success in transition lies in preparation.
